If there isn’t enough bone to place an implant the bone will need to be rebuilt.

 

If a large amount of bone is missing, a block graft will be necessary.

 

The block graft can be taken from another source in the mouth (ex. the chin - a procedure that is done from within the mouth) or acquired artificially.

 
6-9 months following the procedure we can re- evaluate and determine if the site is ready for the implant placement.
